Extra Lessons SA is being built to help parents and learners discover tutors for school subjects, exam preparation and additional academic support across South Africa. Lessons will be offered both online and in person, from primary school through to matric.

Extra Lessons SA will allow independent tutors to create a profile and connect with learners looking for extra academic support. Profile creation opens when the marketplace launches.
Built for South African families
Extra lessons are a normal part of school life in South Africa, especially in the senior phase where Maths, Physical Sciences and Accounting often need extra attention before controlled tests and the final matric exams. Extra Lessons SA is designed specifically for this market rather than adapted from an overseas model.
The platform will cover in-person lessons in and around cities such as Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha and Bloemfontein, as well as online lessons for families in smaller towns and rural areas where a local tutor in a particular subject can be hard to find.
Over time we plan to add dedicated pages for provinces, cities and individual subjects so that finding the right support takes a few taps rather than a long search.
Extra Lessons SA is in its early stages. We are not yet listing tutors, and we do not publish tutor numbers, reviews or ratings until real ones exist.
